Crimson Bound by Rosamund Hodge QMR

So Cruel Beauty is a beauy and the beast retelling and I got to say that it intrigued me from the very start. The story was nicely paced. A bit slow sometimes and it bugged ma bit through the whole story but I could deal with that. I can see why it hasn’t quite hit that that 4 star rating on good reads yet, but I can feel so much potential inhis book an I feel that in CRIMSON BOUND, the next book, the characters will be more developed along with the story. The characters were really relatble to. I likd how the author didn’t sugar coat the situation that he main protagonist was put in. She had that ugly thinking side to her that every body has it was so realistic.

I am definitely looking forward to reading CRIMSON BOUND which is coming out this may!

So that was my QMR! Hope you enjoyed it!

Compulsion by Martina Boone QMR

QMR is a thing I recently made and it stands for Quick Mini review. This is when I don’t tell you guys the summary and I just tell you my thoughts and feelings.

So with that being said, I’ll start with my fist QMR! (Please don’t copy)

I had a lot of expectations going in to this book because it was very poular and I heard great things about it. I did enjoy this book and in some ways it met my expectations but in someways it didn’t.

First of all, I did like the characters but I didn’t feel a connection to them which was kind of dissapointing. One thng that I was very disapointed about was the fact that the story didn’t have a straight plot. I didn’t really know what barrie and Eight were up to until the very end and that really bugged me as a reader.

This book holds a lot of of potential but it just wasn’t for me. I rate it a 3.5/5 stars. I will definitely be reading the next one which is coming out later this year.

I hope you enjoyed my QMR!Bye and until the next post bookaholics!

Reader Problems Book Tag

1. You have 20,000 books on your TBR. How in the world do you decide what to read next?

A: It depends on what I am in the mood for. I usually don’t know what I’m going to read next until the very last moment.

2. You’re halfway through a book and you’re just not lving it. Do you quit or are you commited?

A: I usually stop when I’m just no in to a book after reading about fifty pages. Those books tend to put me in a reading slump and there are o many books and so little time! I don’t want to waste time on books that don’t fit my taste.

3. The end of the year is coming soon and you’re so close, but so far away on your Goodreads reading challenge. Do you try to catch up and how?

A: I’m actually not bg on goodreads I haven’t been there for a while! But my goal for 2015 is 0 books! Hopefully I reach that goal! ‘ve read 28 so far so  think I’ll make it!

4. The covers of  a series you love do not match. Hw do you cope?

A: I really want mto buy the books again so the covers would match but I don’t because I want to save money and buy new books.

5. Everyone and their mother loves a book you just don’t like. Who do you bond with over shared feelings?

A: My friends. My friends are actually not big on reading! Strange huh? But sometimes that makes it easier to talk about books to them because they just listen to you and all you have to do is ramble on and on about the FEELS!

6.You’re reading a book and you are about to cry in public. How do you deal.

A: This happened to me on the plane while I was reading Champion by Marie Lu. I try to cry silently so that no one would notice.

7. A sequel of a book you loved just came out, bu you forgotten a lot from the prior novel. Will you re-read the book? Skip the sequl? Try to find a synopsis on gooreads? Cry in frustration?

A: I just read the second book even if I don’t remeber anything fro the prior novel because when I read a sequel, events that happene in the first novel usually comes back to my memory. At least to me it does.

8. You do not want anyone. ANYONE. borrowing your books. How do you politely tell them no?

A: I only let my family and a few close friends borrow my books but when someone asks me I usually tell them politely that I don’t lend out books to anyone.

9. Reading ADD. You’ve picked up and put down 5 books in the last month. How do you get over you reading slump?

A: I just take my mid out of reading and I watch booktube or movies to take my mind off of reading. That usually helps me get out of my reading slump.

10. There’s so may new books coming out that you’re dying to read! How many do you actually buy?

A: ALL OF THEM! I know I know. I’m an excessive book buyer. I have a problem…

11. After you’ve bought the new books you are dying to read, how long do they sait on your bookshelf before you get to them?

A: it depends on if I have books I need to read for publishers but if it’s something  that I reallyreally want to read, then I just read it without hesitation. But a lot of times those books tend to sit on my bookshelf for a while.

So that was my reader Problems tag and I hope you enjoyed it!

Ghost Written Books

A ghostwriter is a writer who writes books, manuscripts, screenplays, scripts, articles, blog posts, stories, reports, whitepapers, or other texts that are officially credited to another person. Recently this has been an issue and I just wanted to state my thoughts and feeling about this whole concept.

I honestly don’t care if it is ghost written. If the story is good, then I readit with no complaints. But a lot of people have been negative about this because ghostwriters often don’t get mentioned in the books they wrote. Yeah, they might be mentioned in tiny letters but who reads that? Recently a famous youtuber Zoe Sugg published a book called Girl Online and it is ghost written. I haven’t read the book yet but I heard great thigs about the content. People are just hating on it because it’s ghost written. Of course it would have been better if the person who is credited actually wrote it but nothing bad comes to you right? If it’s good it’s good.

As a reader, I don’t really see this as a issue because all I care is for the book to be good. If it’s good and if it is to my liking, then it will be on my favorites list.

So that is my opinion on Ghost written books! Tell me if you had the same thoughts or if your thoughts differ. I would love to know! Bye!

Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover Review

(Sorry for the bad quality!)

I am back from my vacation! I’m srry  haven’t pose anything! I wanted t and I tried but it just didn’t work. But now I’m back and I am planning on writing everyday so stay tuned for some bookish fun! Without further due, let’s get started with the review!

Maybe Someday is about Sydney who finds out her roomate is cheating on her boyfriend. She moves out and has nowhere to go until Ridge, her musical but deaf neighbor, offers her a room if she writes for his band. What started as a mutual agreement grows into somethng more even they can’t handle…

This book was a fun quick read and I really enjoyed it! I loved the charcters and I felt that Colleen did a really good job switching to different point of views.

That’s all I have to say without spoiling you. Don’t read his part if you hven’t read this book yet. Go pick it up and comeback! It’s a really great rad you won’t want to miss.

So, Ridge. I liked him, but sometimes I wanted to smack him in the face. He keeps on leading Sydney on when he has a girlfrend! You can’t expect a girl not to feel something whe a guy lays on top of you while you sing! Sure he’s deaf and he wants to feel her sing and whatever but come on! That’s intmate and he should know it.

I didn’t cry in this book. I cried in all of Colleen’s previous books but I didn’t cry a single tear. It was emotional when she used sign language to Ridge in the end.

I also didn’t really like Maggie. Yeah she’s nice but I was on Sydney’s side so yeah. When ever she came out in the book I wanted to kill her and hide her in the mountains. Jk. But you’ll get what I mean if you have read the book.

Overall I reeall enjoyed this book and I can’t wait to read more of Colleen’s writing!

Bye Bookaholics!

Coffee Book Tag!

1. Black Coffee: name a series that’s hard to get into but has hardcore fans.

A: For this question I choose the daughter of smoke and bone trilogy by Laini Taylor. This series is high fantasy and is known to be very hard to get in to and complicated but it sure has some hard core fans. I only read the first book,Daughter of smoke and bone and I enjoyed it, but like a lot of people, it took time for me to get in to this book. I liked it, but I didn’t love it personally.

2. Peppermint Mocha: Name a book that gets more popular during the winter or festive time of year.

A: For me, I think it will be the Motal Instruments series by cassandra Clare. I love that series so much and I think the fifth book and the sixth one taes place during the christmas season! But this whole series in general just really puts me in a happy mood even though what the charcters are going through isn’t that bright.

3. Hot Chocolate: What is your favorite children’s book?

A: (can’t choose so I’ll say both) Mine is Harry Potter an the Percy jackson series! These two series were a big part of my child hood. I remeber reading both of these when I was in second grade and I have read them ever since. I think they will always hold a special part of my heart.

4. Double shot of espresso: name a book that kept you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.

A: That book for me is The darkest minds by Alexandra Bracken. This book is freaking amazing and I mentioned how amaxzing it was in my recommendations post as well! This book kept me at the edge of my seat and made me read through the night and get bags under my eyes but it’s okay because it’s reading!

5. Starbucks: name a book you see everywhere

A: Divergent by veronica Roth. I see it everywhere and it deserves the hype it gets!

6. That hipster coffe shop: Give a book by an indie author a shoutout!

Stormy Smith you wrote Bound by Duty and Bound by spells! I love her books and she isfaking fantastic! I don’t know if the ebook sales for her booksis still going on, but go check it out. it’s amazing. One of my favorites.

7. Oops! I accidentally got decaf: Name a book you were expeting more from.

A: Eleanor and park by Rainbow Rowell. Rainbow rowell is one ofmy favorite contemporary authors ut there and I had a lot of hope going in to this book because Fangirl was aazing and I did really enjoy this book, but not as much as hoped I would.

8. The perfect blend: Name a book or a sequl that was both bitter a sweet but ultimately satisfying.

A: For this one I choose Ignite me, the last book of the shatter me trilogy. I love this trilogy and it’s one of my favorites of all time!

SI tag all of you to do this tag because it’s a really fun tag and a goo weay to spend your time!

Fire and Flood by Victoria Scott book review

Fire and flood by Victoria scott is about a girl Tella, who has a ick brother and she needs to find a cure in order for him to survive. One day she recieves a message that if she competes in the brimstone bleed and wins, she will get the cure for her brother. So of course she joins. But the games are nothing like she imagined…

I really enjoyed this book! It’s a blend of the hunger games and the maze runner! I think Victoria cott did a great job telling the story when it was barel 300 pages. I flew right through this book! In is book there are thse things called pandoras and they are animals that help you survive in the games. I realy liked this whole concept. It was very unique and I never read a book like this so I didn’t get bored at all! I would have liked it more if the author described he characters a little more becau when I was reading this book, I didn’t get a clear image of who looked like who and such. But that didn’t bug me a lot.

Lets talk ahout allies. I didn’t like a lot of the allies that Tella meets at first. but as the story went on I grew to like them. Escpecially Guy Chambers! Honestly at the beginning of the book I didn’t trust him and I didn’t likehim. But I grew to love him! He doesn’t tal much and Tella sure talks a loand I think thats why they fir so perfectly.

The ronance wasn’t rushed at all and was nicely paced. I’m a big romance craver in books nd all of my favorite books tend to have romance in them. So when I started this book I was like “is there romance in this book?” And yes there was and I was so happy! So if you’re a huge romance craver like me, you don’t need to worry!

I am so pumped up to red the next book Salt and stone! I actualy already have my ow copy so al I have to do is pick it up! But I have so many books I need to read and review and I think it’ll have to wait a bit but hopefull not for long! I honestly have no idea what to read next! I guess I’ll have too with the flow!

I think I might post another tag later in the day! I’m posting a lot today because I honestly don’t know how things will turn out this week because of vacation .

So that’s my book review for Fire and flood and I hoped you enjoyed my thoughts and feeling of this book cuz’ I sure had a fun time writing it!
